Counting Nature on God's Green Acre

  • All Saints' Church Haslingfield Church Street Cambridge, England, CB23 United Kingdom (map)

Come and join the Eco Group at All Saints Churchyard, Haslingfield, as we discover the trees and other plants - and more - growing in the burial ground, Vicarage Garden and Glebe Wood. Part of the "God's Green Acre" movement to protect and enhance natural spaces in church grounds, we will identify wildflowers, trees and, if we are lucky, insects such as butterflies and bees and record the information with the environmental records authority (CPERC). Experienced naturalists welcome, but no experience is required, just a smartphone and a download of the free plant ID app https://floraincognita.com/ OR your own illustrated guidebook. All ages welcome. This event is part of the Churches Count on Nature/National Burial Ground week celebrations organised by https://www.caringforgodsacre.org.uk/.
